A mistery in green

I have a problem.
Yesterday in the garden I found this:


(I am shamelessly lying, it was there last year as well. But it sounded oh so much better...)

The culprit for these weird flowers is here:


...it looks like a boring climbing thingy, but see what it can do?

Now - this is an official cry for help. Can anyone please please tell me what kind of plant it is? What should I do with it? Is it poisonous so I can use it? Is it precious? Or is it only beautiful and I can keep gazing at it every day?
Help! We are drowning in vegetation ignorance!

I don't know if anyone gave you an answer, but I had the same question last year and was told that it's a passion flower. They're beautiful and unusual, aren't they!

And after really hot summers it even bears eatable fruit.
